Business Development Associate
Field Work Creative is an internationally recognized film studio producing award-winning documentaries and commercial work for global brands. From the Arctic to Pakistan to the Utah desert, we tell stories that matter and build campaigns that actually move people.
We are looking for a Business Development Associate (Junior EP track) to help grow revenue by building relationships with brands, agencies, and producers who need high-end commercial and documentary production.
This is not a traditional sales role. You are not selling a product. You are opening doors, starting conversations, and helping turn interest into projects.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable reaching out to new people every day. You should enjoy the hunt, not just the close.
Responsibilities
Prospect and research brands, agencies, and creative partners that align with Field Work
Initiate outreach via email, LinkedIn, events, and referrals
Schedule meetings and maintain the founder’s sales calendar
Track leads, conversations, and follow-ups in a simple CRM or spreadsheet
Support proposal development, pitch decks, and treatment coordination
Maintain relationships with past clients and warm contacts
Identify inbound opportunities and partnership possibilities
Assist with festival, screening, and industry networking efforts
Help ensure no opportunity falls through the cracks
Qualifications
3–5+ years bringing in work for a creative company, agency, production house, or media brand
A real track record of landing projects, not just sending emails
Existing relationships with brands, agencies, or producers is a big plus
Clear, confident communicator who can talk to CMOs one minute and filmmakers the next
Self-starter who doesn’t wait for permission and doesn’t fold at the first “no”
Able to put together decks, emails, and proposals that actually move conversations forward
Organized enough to track leads, follow-ups, and opportunities without letting things fall through the cracks
Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving company where roles blur and things change
Compensation
Flexible depending on experience. Options include:
Per-meeting compensation + commission on projects closed
Path to full Junior Executive Producer role for strong performers
The role begins with a 150-day uncapped, commission-only ramp-up period designed to reward early wins and accelerate earnings potential. Upon successful performance, you’ll transition to a competitive base + commission structure aligned with your experience, track record, and results.
Why This Role Exists
Field Work does not mass-produce ads. We partner with brands to create films and campaigns that require trust, alignment, and strong creative chemistry.
Your job is to help us meet the right people and start the right conversations.
